Luke 4:18

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor, He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

As we have entered this eighth year of existence as the body of Jesus Christ, our mission and purpose exemplifies Jesus Christ.  Wherever we release the Savior’s sweet fragrance, a life is redeemed; a situation is transformed and the liberating power of the Holy Spirit is activated.  Please keep focus on Jesus’ ministry statement in every aspect of this journey.   I am excited about this divine journey that we are traveling with God as our Holy Navigator!!

PRAYER MINISTRY

John 16:23b

“…Very truly I tell you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name, He will give it to you.”  

Prayer is our source of power and strength.  God has responded to our praise, petition and delivered His promises.  So we continue to be faithful in constant communication with our God.

1.                  Twenty four hour prayer chain to insure someone is always praying.

2.                  12 Noon daily prayer.

3.                  Wednesday prayer and fasting day.

4.                  Saturday morning prayer conference call

COMMISSION MEMBERSHIP AND EVANGELISM

Matthew 28:19-20

“Go..and make disciples of ALL NATIONS………baptizing and teaching….”

Our ongoing objective is to invite individuals to church and to become acquainted with Jesus Christ.  We are Contagious Christians!!! This is the focus of every ministry!

1.                  Family and Friends Day-focus on those UNCHURCHED/UNSAVED

2.                  Mailings of Postcards/Personal Invitations

3.                  Community Outreach-

4.                  Prison Ministry-letter writing, subscription, visitation

5.                  Generate a prayer list of the unsaved/unchurched

COMMISSION ON CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

Psalm 119:105

“Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

Christian Education is imperative to move God’s agenda forward.  Training is necessary to implement the Great Commission.  We are to make disciples according to God’s instructions, therefore we must make ourselves available to expand our knowledge of God’s word and Jesus’ redeeming grace by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

1.                  Daily Bible Reading

2.                  Attendance at Church School

Study Strands will rotate between New Members Class, Leadership,

Men, Women and Youth Ministries.

3.                  Fourth Sundays designated for WMS Study Guide, Men’s Study and

Youth Focus.

4.                  Topical Bible Study during Mid-Week Worship Every Wednesday

5.         Alternate Third Sundays-Lay Organization Training

YOUTH MINISTRY

Proverbs 22:6

“Train the children in the right way and when they are old

they will not depart from it.”

Every aspect of our ministry must be inclusive of youth.  Their exposure and participation is preparation for today.  Young people are not spectators but participators!!! 

1.                  Youth Bible Study

3.                  Dance/Rap/ Music

4.                  Community Activities- Movie Day; Game Day; Sports Outing

5.                  Organize Young People’s Division

We are a tithing church.  Giving of our time, talent and treasure are essential activities for personal and interpersonal spiritual growth.
